The Rock History Report for July 29th

1963 - Peter, Paul and Mary released "Blowin' In The Wind,” a cover of the Bob Dylan classic. 

1965 - The Beatles film Help! had its London premiere.

1966 - Bob Dylan suffered injuries after crashing his motorcycle near Woodstock, NY.

1968 - The Byrds embarked on a South African tour without Gram Parsons. The musician refused to set foot in a country that still made apartheid official policy.

1973 - $180,000 was swiped from Led Zeppelin's deposit box at New York City’s Drake Hotel.

1982 - Duran Duran’s Andy Taylor and Tracie Wilson were married.

1998 - Miramax Films obtained the rights to the Beatles film A Hard Day's Night, and announced plans to release a remastered edition on the movie's 35th anniversary.
